Top quality Flexo, Gravure and Offset Litho, are prohibitively expensive for short to medium run quantity label . Now with the latest HP Indigo ws4050 reel to reel press, unbelievably high quality labels in minimum quantities have now become a reality. These ‘photo quality’ or full range of PMS spot colours, can be produced at a surprisingly competitive price, especially as there is no prepress origination costs. The Indigo is more than just a reel to reel label press, as Shrink Sleeves and Food Sachets can be produced on this flexibly packaging press.

The Indigo System, is the only colour process in digital printing that equals the quality and colour of offset printing. High resolution-up to 800dpi, super sharp images, 100% registration every time, and vibrant colours are produced on the 7 colour Indichrome system.

The only problem (if there is one) as we see it, is the very high quality of the HP Indigo press – often far better quality than Flexo or Offset Litho. This can give the end user unrealistic expectations of conventional print quality for higher volume production.

Apart from its print quality, the main advantages of our digital press is its short to medium run capabilities, ideal for keeping stock levels to a minimum, but can be cost effective for runs up to 50,000 to 100,000 labels, depending on the specifications.
